I met Brian Blade in Paris with the Wayne Shorter quartet.
I showed him a few prototypes, and he prefered a 14 x 5,5 inches, the main solid ply made from bolivian mahogany.
After a few discussion, and working time needed, I was finishing a similar one, slightly deeper, and satin-chrome finished hoops and lugs.
It sounds warm and very precise. Brian Blade virtuose and explosive playing gives deep sense to this instrument.
